The new viburnum is the result of a cross between v. lantana and v. rhytidophyllum, and a cross between v. burejaeticum and v. x ‘Alleghany’ by Dr. Harold Pellett in 1994. No diseases, dense foliage, withstands minus 30°F, and should be resistant to viburnum leaf beetle. A plant that will take part shade, well-drained soil, holds up well to drought and durable makes this new viburnum a people pleaser.
